MONIQUE DISMUKE started her career in the entertainment field in the early 90's; singing in several girl groups to acting in numerous stage plays all over the Bay Area from the Berkeley Rep to Potereo Hill Theater, in SF.
 
She’s co stared in plays like:
Gift of the Magpies
The life story of Marvin Gaye
Every Now and Then
Its Never To Late
 
Her most recent film project includes a lead role in the movie "Oakland Stories," an independent feature film about a female law firm.
 
As well as a background extra in of the Oscar Grant movie Fruitvale Station, executively produced by Forrest Whittiker.
 
Monique majored in broadcasting communications/journalism while doing an internship for channel 2 a local news station.
 
As a published freelance journalist she has worked for several local urban hip hop magazines:
Showcase
Street Low
and helped to launch Chocolate City Magazine
 
She’s had the opportunity to interview artists Ice Cube and John Legend!
